Congressman Bob Goodlatte joined Republican State Senate nominee David Suetterlein door knocking in Roanoke County today. Suetterlein has knocked on thousands of doors across Southwest Virginia during the race which Goodlatte first endorsed him for the Republican nomination in March.
Goodlatte who will be serving in Washington during a scheduled session of the U.S. House of Representatives on Election Day announced that he will be voting for Suetterlein by in-person absentee. Goodlatte has also said:
“David Suetterlein will be an effective Senator for Roanoke County from day one. I know I can always trust him to work hard and support sound conservative principles. But even more than that, he has a good understanding of complex policy problems and has provided wise counsel for conservative approaches to legislation for over eight years as Senator Ralph Smith’s Legislative Director. I am proud to cast my vote for David Suetterlein for Senate and I hope you will join me in supporting him.”
